Chasing dreams

The possibility of our dream becoming true is what makes life interesting.

....from The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Realisation

There are 2 most important days in your Life.

The Day you are Born...

And the Day when you Realise why you were Born...

Decisive phase

Between the age of 20 to 30 is the golden era...youth. One expects and dreams of Enjoying life.

And this is the time one comes across maximum cross roads.

Be it college, career, company, job-profile and ....the choice of life-partner.

So many dilemmas
Its the most decisive phase of one's life.

....Life is after all a series of decisions.
Its a struggle....a beautiful one.

The curve has rebuilt itself

Its been a long hibernation period since the crash 2-3 months ago...i have not sold any...and didnt buy any scrip either as all my funds where locked already

The sensex has reached the 12000 mark once again... My overall stock portfolio has become +ve...but only by a mere 1.6 %.

50 % of the stocks i hold are still in the red.

But i see it as an opportunity to book profits on some counters....like Adlabs and ITC. Infosys also looks good but not good enough.

Waiting for the quarterly results when share prices are usually expected to surge.

...the Sensex has rebuilt itself. The crash was indeed a learning experience.

Quotable Quotes

On the merry-go-round like everyone else; a third of the ride is over, but still struggling to understand what it all really means.

...thats my friend Venkat's "about-me" line in Orkut.

Life is nothing but a series of decisions

...thats a quote by my ex-boss Prakash

pirated...hehe

Smile is mistaken for happiness
A smile can be the mask of sorrow.
Tear is mistaken for sadness
A tear can be the unseen hint of joy.
Silence is mistaken for handicapped answers
Silence can be the answer, hailing infinite questions
'Yes' is mistaken for willingness
A yes can be a humble way of saying a 'No'
Absence is mistaken for ignorance
Absence can be the childish trick, to grab importance
Care is mistaken for love
Care can soothe, but not always understand, a heart
And when Love is mistaken for care
Mistake is mistaken for Acceptance!!

An eventful day...Sunday

It all started last night...as usual late night orkutting....phokat ka time hai na, saturday night.

I found some good things on the net. www.youaremyfriend.com and www.youaremighty.com . I was very impressed by the second one. These are animated messages that can be addressed to individuals (one has to type the url this way... http://www.ramesh.youaremighty.com ..same holds good for the other one too.) Sent these links to lot of friends. And they made a big impact. nice way to express. hats off to the person who concieved this.

I was just going to wind up and curl into my bed when one very old classmate (who studied 3rd, 4th and 5th standard...sorry 3rd, 4th and 5th class (thats how she calls it....hehe, typical telugu) of mine scrapped. There was a slew of scraps going across. Its a nice feeling that someone remembers us after such a long gap...a gap of 13 yrs.

I finally retired into bed at around 1 am this morning. I had promised a coulple of my college friends that we would meet at the beach at 6:30. None of us could make it at the Scheduled time. We met at 8...sun was blazing.

We sat on a catamaran with a Red Cross marked on it..a rescue vehicle obviously. And we were just chatting when a man came across with groundnuts. We refused to buy...but he said kaathala boni pannu pa and he gave us three cones of ground nuts, charged an exhorbitant 15 bucks. But in a way thats fine...we spend more on worser stuff during the day.

The groundnuts were over baked...bitter. And he was asking Saste epdi irukku...we were all smiles and it lit up a smile on his face.

We then had some tender coconuts and then breakfast at Saravana Bhavan....prices at Saravana Bhavan are most exhorbitant. and quantity is not worth the money we pay.

We then parted and i visited my cousins place.

Returned home and had a luxurious bath....was singing aloud lavishly..all my favourite songs. That was refreshing indeed.

And after lunch we had a couple of guests at home and a downpour outside.

Now i sit again on the box....blogging, orkutting, surfing for some tech stuff and chatting....To top everything i find my stocks portfolio is back at zero level from -25 a couple of months ago, thats encouraging indeed...Would call it an eventful sunday....SO MUCH OF PERSONAL TIME...whoa
